Gillian Wee was born in Singapore in 1978. She began her artistic training with a muralist at the age of ten. In 2002, she earned a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University. In addition to being a full time artist Gillian currently serves as President for the Los Angeles chapter of Thrivent Financial, a not for profit company, helping to oversee thousands of dollars towards community development in the greater Los Angeles area. She also continues to donate many of her own pieces to non-profit organizations, charitable benefits and hospitals throughout the year. Gillian has exhibited in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles.
